As we plan and organize for our fourth Grizzly Great Day of Giving, or G3 Day 2014, our Piney Grove students and staff look forward to this day of service on May 2, 2014 with much anticipation and enthusiasm! For G3 Day 2014 has very much become a part of who we are at Piney Grove. This great day of community service provides the opportunity for all of our young Grizzlies, staff members, and parent and community volunteers to come together…work side-by-side for a common and greater good…to make a marked difference in our wonderful community and in the lives of many individuals.

This year’s G3 Day 2014 will involve even more helping hands --- close to 1500 volunteers in all --- that will blanket our community at over 68 charitable organizations to spend the morning totally immersed in service to others. Everything from making blankets for children to snuggle with as they arrive at a hospital emergency room. . .to brightening the day of some of our senior citizens in the community by serving them lunch, playing games, and/or quietly listening or engaging in conversation with them. . .to packing thousands of homemade cookies to send to our US troops overseas...to sorting mounds of clothing and toys at local charitable thrift stores...to collecting many bags of trash and hidden treasures in roadside and lakeside clean-ups… to preparing hundreds of luminaries for Forsyth County’s Relay for Life event...to sorting and packing thousands of pounds of flour, rice, and beans at local food pantries for families in need...to cleaning animal cages at the local Humane Society…to playing with and tutoring young kids with special needs. All of these acts of service and many more will be the top priority for our young Grizzlies the morning of May 2nd as they give of their time, their talents and their hearts!

So as we plan this year’s Grizzly Great Day of Giving,, I ask that you consider joining us for this exciting and memorable day. We would love to have your support! Such an enormous undertaking requires a plethora of enthusiastic volunteers, committed students and staff, and supportive sponsors.

Please read on for more information on how you can get involved...how you can help support this fabulous event...and/or sign-up to volunteer. We truly hope you will join our young Grizzlies on this Great Day of Giving back to our community!

With warmest regards,
